Academic Life

ESK Students are remarkably busy; their day begins at 8.30 am as they begin their fulfilment of class, socialising with friends, grabbing a snack from the cafe, and studying.  Each day there is an abundance of events and learning, and many cheerful faces buzzing through the halls of the school.

Below is a breakdown of the curriculum for each year group:

Key Stage 3- Years 7, 8 and 9

Students follow the UK National Curriculum

All students study the following subjects: English, Turkish, French, Mathematics, Science, ICT, History, Geography, Art, Drama, Music, Physical Education, PSHE, Civics, Religious Education, Leadership

Classes are set according to the ability of English, Turkish and Mathematics.  (Where a student’s English is not of a sufficient level, they may be entered into additional English lessons instead of French).

Students follow the IGCSE programme.

Key Stage 5- Years 12 and 13 (collectively known as Sixth Form)

Students are given the choice of either the A-level programme or the IB Diploma programme.  You may follow the links below to learn more about each programme.
