Hazal wins Presidential Impact Project Competition

Congratulations to Year 12 student Hazal who received the 1st place award at the Presidential Permanent Impact Project Competition. The competition honoured young environmental activists who are finding innovative ways to reduce individual and collective compost in the TRNC. Hazal received 7,000tl to fund her initiative, and an opportunity to meet with President Akinci. Below is a small passage from Hazal’s proposal:

“We must remember that if the world is not livable for us, and if we did not amend it for the future, it would be impossible for it to exist. Our project aims to awaken this awareness and this sense of urgency to the whole public, as we can make a difference.”
