PASTORAL CARE
The Pastoral System is a key part of school life. The system is designed to support our pupils
as they progress through the school. Built upon horizontal and vertical care systems throughout the
staff and student community, support is provided for social, emotional and academic development.
Integral to this system is regular communication and partnership between parents and the school both
through formal and ad hoc systems. The pastoral system promotes respect for others and responsible
behaviour as well as self-confidence in the individual.
DISCIPLINE
The pastoral system is supported by a fair and consistent disciplinary framework to uphold the
school’s ethos and standards of behaviour. Bullying and discrimination are taken very seriously and
will not be tolerated. All offences will be dealt with in a measured and appropriate manner. The
School does not use corporal punishment.
